BEDROOM

Sleeping...

Sleep recharges the body`s batteries. It is a universal need, one of the great levellers. Yet if the basic requirement of shelter and a bed are fairly simple, we none the less personalize our sleeping spaces as much as we do any other area of the home...

FLOOR

A wooden floor has pattern in its grain, texture in its finish & colour; a granite is cool, hard, smooth and flecked. In practice, we don`t dissociate these qualities, they all work together.

HALL

Each age has made a contribution to our concept of the interior...

A brightly coloured picture brings together different elements in a lively companionable way.
...the balance between detail & simplicity is carefully weighed.

Back to basics...

A simply country furniture, kitchen lends character to a space arranged for modern convenience. Soft, neutral shades make a soothing back-ground for a successful blend of old & new.

Solid wood display shelving on a wall provides space for a few carefully chosen objects.

An internal window offers a view from the kitchen to living room area and counteracts any feeling of enclosure.

A single line kitchen makes good,
hard - working use of a narrow area.

A conventional kitchen layout L-shape, takes advantage of the view of countryard, in this home.

Past & present...kitchen with flagstone floor. The presence of the past is close at hand in this kitchen, with stone flagged floor and fireplace. At the same time , the simplicity of decoration make this a contemporary space.

Wooden plate racks over a Belfast sink drain dishes dry...

STONE WORK & LIGHT

Natural materials wear attractively, acquiring character with the years...

FIREPLACE

The open fire, with its warmth and vitality, makes a natural focal point, an established tradition that retains a powerful appeal in period and contemporary interiors alike.
